I enjoy writing stories which take you into a different world where you can be immersed in experiences which aren't everyday. As a writer - and a person - I've always been drawn towards transgression and rule-breaking: I'm sure this is reflected in my fiction.

The way characters and people think and respond in extreme situations, especially ones which challenge their preconceptions and their moral compass, is fascinating to me. If I can get even a fraction of this across to the reader, then I've done a good job.
