Tadhg Coakley, a celebrated Irish author from Mallow, is now living in Cork with his wife, Ciara. His debut, 'The First Sunday in September' (2018), earned critical acclaim and won the Mercier Press fiction prize. He continued his success with 'Whatever It Takes' (2020), the chosen book for Cork's 2020 One City, One Book. Coakley's versatility spans genres, evident in his co-authored autobiography 'Everything' about Denis Coughlan (Hero Books, 2020) and his gripping thriller 'Before He Kills Again' (Mercier Press, 2023). Coakley, a University College Cork alumnus, is also a renowned contributor to top publications such as The Stinging Fly, The Winter Papers, The Irish Examiner and The Irish Times.
