Darksiders starts out following a group of Darksiders from the dark side of the planet, Stasis, on what they consider an average day. Upon their return home, they hear whispers of trouble in the capitol of the Sunbathers, who reside on the sun side of the planet. Soon they are greeted by two Sunbathers that ask the Darksiders to accompany them to the capitol. There, the minister of the Sunbathers asks them to help hunt down Olaf, the man responsible for stealing the main power source, Ultimatter, from the capitol.
