Nicole MacDonald is from Fenton, Michigan. She is a former teacher who has taught kindergarten through second grade. While teaching, her favorite part of the day was reading to her students. She has been married to her husband, John, since 2002. They have one beautiful daughter, Allie, and two toy poodles, Dash and Penny. Dash was her inspiration for this story.
