Rusty Williams is an award-winning writer-historian who writes about history through the stories of the people who lived it. He is a former journalist who has written for the Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, San Antonio Express-News and the Associated Press. Rusty is the author of Red River Bridge War: A Texas-Oklahoma Border Battle (Texas A&M Press), My Old Confederate Home: A Respectable Place for Civil War Veterans (University Press of Kentucky), Historic Photos of Dallas in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s (Turner Publishing) and other books and articles about Texas and the Southwest.
