Aging Eric Bjornson seeks his 'glorious death' to enter Valhalla ... but his Christian companions refuse to sacrifice their lives to insure his death!

Determined to earn his ride with the Valkyrie, aging Eric Bjornson sails into England ... chased by 7,000 Norse warriors. Escaping their siege, and hunted by Saxon nobles, Eric leads his companions on his fatal quest to start an unneeded war. Yet, assaulted by terrors older than Norse mythology, camaraderie swells, and the Christians decide their only hope of survival is to convert pagan Eric, to convince him to give up his eternity in Valhalla. Eric refuses their attempts, and soon his Norse ways infuriate his gentle companions. Yet, before they abandon him, an aged Saxon prostitute and a snobbish Druid priest crush their hopes ... and force them onto a quest to enter the legendary realm of Yggdrasil, home of the Norse Gods!

DeathQuest: Book 1 of the "The VIKINGS! Trilogy".

"A darkly fascinating read with an almost fanatical attention to historical details of the Viking age. If you want your historical fiction with seriously accurate history, this series is for you!" --Mike Brown

"DeathQuest pulls you in from the first paragraph and never lets you go." --James H. Pinto II

"A brash and brazen Norseman, a fresh new castle guard, an old stable master, a baron's daughter, and a woman of striking beauty. What do these people have in common? Nothing … but adventure!" --Johann

"Once I got started I had to read the entire trilogy straight through! You want books that make you wonder about deeper subjects like religion and prejudices? You got it!" --Ken Shipman

"DeathQuest started with a kick and kept ramping up in tension and inner-turmoil." --David Dawes

"Imagine a book where all of the best features of historical fiction are blended with all that is delightful about fantasy, where the story seamlessly blends history and mythology into high fantasy." --Josephine Billingsley

"DeathQuest is completely engrossing and mesmerizing, pulling the reader into the world of The Vikings! and submerging them in a fast-paced tale of betrayal, bravery, and intrigue." --Margaret Shane
