Autorenporträt
Chef Debbie Teoh is a true Nyonya--her father was a Baba from Malacca and her mother is a Nyonya from Penang. With an extended family of foodies and excellent cooks, Chef Debbie learnt the rudiments of Peranakan cooking from them, building up her expertise in both Southern Nyonya and Northern Nyonya cooking. Her passion for cooking drew her to learn more about other international cuisines and to take up baking, skills that led her to becoming a highly sought-after chef and cookbook author, as well as a Nyonya Food Consultant for Tourism Malaysia. With more than 17 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Debbie continues to run a successful food catering business and is often invited as a guest chef to showcase her range of cooking skills.
