Deceptions and Illusions Embroidered With Truth is the sequel to the author's first creative nonfiction book, Post Separation Abuse. Betrayal and Abandonment: What Type Of Man? was first published in May 2022 and relaunched in August 2023 to include the Spanish version.

The reader will be taken on a journey of how Loren had to try to rebuild confidence in herself as well as find a way to survive post-separation after the brutal and cruel way her former partner had ended their relationship. The failed attempts to negotiate an out-of-court settlement after the failure of the mediation company. The further distress Loren suffered and how a video helped three other individuals recover some of their funds. The Spanish legal system was woefully inadequate and did nothing to alleviate the situation. In fact, solicitors actually made matters much worse than they should have been by completely failing to understand the situation. Loren's research discovered she was not alone in this scenario. One of the issues uncovered was that the free public legal representation was unreliable, as she uncovered failures in the Justice system in connection with Gender Violence and the Civil process of "precarious eviction", which her former partner had started in May / July 2021.

Loren tells her story of how she ended up with three overlapping litigations against her when, after the civil court hearing in June 2022, she was handed an appointment to attend the courthouse in October 2022 to collect documents for what the Guardia Civil called several minor misdemeanours. There seemed to be no escape. The Barcelona lawyer representing the former partner had requested maximum penalties for seven allegations in the Spanish criminal courts, and she was shocked to see that the cumulative total added up to seventeen years of prison. Printed clearly in the documents in capital letters, underlined, and bold.

This is her story of how things unfolded post-separation after she dared to publish her first book. The grief, the trauma, anxiety, fear and uncertainty that kept her stuck for months. The determination to learn new skills and use those skills to publish the truth in articles and through video and audio. The mission was to find herself to rebuild confidence after emotional, psychological, and financial devastation. The author includes links to some of the vlogs she created while going through her experience.

Loren Keeling is a blogger, digital creator and author of her first non-fiction book, "Post Separation Abuse. Betrayal & Abandonment What Type Of Man?"

As a retired Property Management business owner Loren spent a decade running her business in the NE of England before moving abroad 6 years ago to live a new life in Spain with dreams of becoming fully retired and living a good life with her partner.

That dream shattered in September 2020 and with very little financial security, other than a roof over her head and a lot of support and help from various friends and associates, she used her creative skills, research and knowledge to write her debut creative non-fiction book.

Loren is a lifelong learner, studying personal development and now digital marketing. Her previous writing skills were used in the Charitable Trust Fundraising sector where she started out writing funding letters for local Youth and Community Organisations in the area where she lived.

Loren explains how she has now experienced what she calls the three D's in relationships. Divorce, death of a partner and now the abrupt and sudden discard by her third long term partner.

Loren currently works on building her online businesses whilst still living at the Spanish villa in the heart of the countryside in Cartegena. Her first book is raising awareness of hidden emotional abuse in relationships and also highlights the legal challenges and conflicts that can arise post-separation in these situations.
