This is my second book of poems and continues the theme of humanity and truth throughout the pages of the book. Sit back and relax put some relaxation music on. Read the poems and the rest is up to your imagination.

Autorenporträt
I am Stephen Robert Sutton a writer of novels, artist and writer of poems, I have been writing poems since 1987 and accumulated hundreds of them since this time. I was born in Birmingham and raised in Lichfield in Staffordshire, I moved to Manchester in my early thirties and settled there. The earlier part of my education was at Chadsmead infant and junior school and at Netherstowe comprehensive school, I am dyslexic and dyspraxic which was unheard of at that time in the sixties and early seventies. I educated myself using comics such as the Dandy and the Beano, I later read the American Mad comics, which were easier to understand. Due to not getting the grades at school and college I went back to education in my late thirties and obtained a diploma in welfare studies and other subjects and went on to the university of Salford and graduated as a qualified nurse. It was all about self directed study which I had done as a child, I could deal with that without any problem, although I was assessed by a educational psychologist for dyslexia. At last someone recognised my disability and acted accordingly I did get support by the equality and diversity office at university. When I started work in the early seventies I had not got a clue what to do, I was in and out of jobs which was easy then due to the amount of jobs around. Eventually I settled down at twenty one as a care assistant in a residential home called Nearfield house in Lichfield I was there for thirteen years until I moved to Pontins in Blackpool and then to Ashton Under Lyne in greater Manchester. I have mentioned my education in Manchester and becoming a nurse which I still am now, I am almost retired and hope to pursue my writing which means more novels and more poetry. The last poem is in memory of a my best friend Richard Howarth who recently past away, November 2019.
