Alford Khan, is the eldest of twelve children was born in Adelphi Village in Berbice, Guyana. He studied at the Berbice High School, after which he worked with his father who was a dentist and tailor. On completion of his tutelage and dentistry, he left for the UK and found employment as a civilian with the Royal Army Dental Corps. In 1968 he established his own dental business in London and is still active in that field. Alford Khan enjoys life with his wife and four children (three daughters and one son). He loves adventurous travel and socialising with his Rotarian friends. He is the founder of a registered charity, a past President and honorary member of the Rotary Club of Greenford. At the age of eighty two, he has discovered a new talent and has become a prolific writer. Demerara Adventures is his debut novel.
