"This impressive text by Laura Choate, an experienced and well-respected professional counselor and author, is engaging, well-researched, and accessible. It offers real-world applications that therapists and counselors can readily incorporate. This invaluable book presents a comprehensive picture of the complex biopsychosocial factors influencing women's mental health. I will certainly recommend it to my students and colleagues who are increasingly treating girls and women with depression." - Merle Keitel, PhD, professor at Fordham University and coeditor of the Handbook of Counseling Women
