Autorenporträt

I have been working as an English Language Instructor at a public university in Istanbul for 21 years. Besides my bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Istanbul University, I graduated from the Vocational School of Justice at the same institution to deepen my understanding of criminal and legal matters and blend it into my writing. Over the last three years, I've embarked on a journey in writing in English to reach a broader international audience.

In the Desert Rose trilogy, I have crafted a distinctive world for my protagonists, spanning four pivotal years of their lives just as it has occupied nearly four pivotal years of my own: writing, editing, re-editing, translating, re-editing, proofreading, re-editing, proofreading and re-editing, and enduring that vicious cycle where absurdity reigns, justice is delivered by the characters themselves, and compassion is sparingly bestowed upon those deemed undeserving.

In addition to Desert Rose, which marks my first effort in connecting with an international audience, I have three previously published books in Turkish, released consecutively almost a decade ago. Desert Rose is a milestone in my literary journey, bridging my storytelling with readers around the globe.
