Prof. Dipankar Chattopadhyay is an eminent professor currently working in the Department of Polymer Science & Technology, University of Calcutta, India since 2006 and also a former HOD. Earlier, he worked as a lecturer at the Vidhyasagar University and Shahid Bhagat Singh College, Punjab, India. He obtained his B.Tech in Plastics & Rubber Technology from University of Calcutta, India and M.Tech in Polymer Science and Engineering, IIT, New Delhi with Ph.D. (Polymer Science) from the IACS, India. He is an experienced research professional with expertise in polymers nanocomposites, biomaterials, and nanomaterials. He has ~22 years of research experience with completed 10 research project and collaborative projects with industries. He is an active reviewer for various Journals and supervised >20 scholars and five post-doctorate students. He has 127 publications and has 3 patents. He is an Executive Member in the Society for Polymer Science, India; MRSI, Calcutta Chapter and many more.Dr. Beauty Das completed her M.SC in Biotechnology from Utkal University, India and B.Sc in Zoology from Dibrugarh University, India with distinction. She completed her Ph.D in 2005 from Tezpur University on the topic of polymer nanocomposite based tissue engineering. She has more than 10 years of experience in this intriguing topic by employing polymers, hydrogels and nanocomposites. Currently she is working as a DST Inspire Faculty in University of Calcutta, India and conducting research on tissue engineering approaches to treat Alzheimer's disease by enhancing neuro-regeneration. She has 6 years of post-doctoral experience on polymeric biomaterials. She has published more than 15 articles and has contributed several book chapters in this area.
