Tom Connolly retired from the Garda Siochana in 1994, after holding the rank of Detective Superintendent. He was attached to the Investigation Section at Crime branch in Garda Headquarters. He served four decades with the guards, having joined in 1955. Currently, he lives in Naas, Co. Kildare.
