Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Printmedien, Presse, Note: 2,0, Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) (Kulturwissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Einführung in die Kulturgeschichte, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: The paper „The freedom of press as a driving power for the transformation of Germany in the 19th century“ gives an overview of the development of the history of press in Germany in the 19th century. A central reference for the description and explanation of the history of press are the three potencies: culture, state and religion, which were founded by the universal-historian Jacob Burckhardt. The relation of these potencies to each other are always essential for describing, explaining or even understand history. The topic freedom of press is important until today, because press is an endangered property even in the presence. So there is also given a short insight into the development of the freedom of press in the beginning of the 20th century and the present situation of press in Germany today.
