Autorenporträt
The author owns Digger and each of the friends in the book. He used them when building his house just as depicted on the pages of this book. His grandchildren were the inspiration for this story. DIGGER AND FRIENDS were just the right size when they were little to crawl on and pretend to dig and shovel. They had huge smiles on their faces, which are priceless, and he wanted to share that joy. Doug is a retired pilot who grew up on a farm, worked in construction, and loves building and being outdoors.
