It thus approaches homosexuality from a whole person perspective and attempts to create understanding, rather than foment divisiveness. This more comprehensive definition of intimacy allows for a compassionate reading of Scripture in ongoing conversations about the nature of homosexuality and the full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgender persons in society.
