Mark J. Keown (ThD, Laidlaw College) is senior lecturer in New Testament at Laidlaw College in Auckland, New Zealand. He is the author of two volumes of the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary (Philippians 1:1–2:18 and Philippians 2:19–4:23) and Jesus in a World of Colliding Empires. He is an ordained minister and served at Greenlane Presbyterian Church in Auckland from 1997 to 2003.
