This compendium for interdisciplinary discourse studies gives an overview of theories, methods, and problems of discourse research. Its two volumes, brought forth by the group DiscourseNet, cover the new field of German language discourse research in its full width, and present the variety of instruments used in empirical discourse studies. The contributions spell out models for discourse research projects and reflect upon strategies for their realization in disciplinary and interdisciplinary contexts.
