Valery Panyushkin is a journalist, writer, special correspondend, and author of eleven books, including Twelve Who Don't Agree: The Battle for Freedom in Putin's Russia (Europa, 2011). Born in Leningrad in 1969, he has left Russia and currently lives abroad.
