Jayden Amir Watkins is an American Christian author, motivational speaker, licensed minister, podcast host, playwright, non-profit CEO, and visionary. Jayden was born on April 25th, 2008 in Henderson, North Carolina to Yamlet Foster and Eric Watkins along with his twin sister, Jaydah Watkins. Jayden started public speaking at the tender age of 9 in August 2017 when he gave his first sermon at Spring Street Missionary Baptist Church. Now he serves as a minister at Big Ruin Creek Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles Burwell. Jayden released his debut book "Higher Heights: The Past Is Behind Me And The Future Is Before Me" in 2021. Higher Heights is a 40-day devotional book about preventing your past from hindering your future. Jayden's debut book reached the Top 5 in the category of New Releases in Teen & Young Adult Christian Devotionals & Prayer on Amazon. Jayden is the host and producer of The Preferable Podcast which he founded in March 2020. In April 2023, Jayden became the youngest long-running Christian podcast host of all time in the category of Religion & Spirituality on all major podcasting platforms. In 2023 Jayden became the assistant director and playwright of the Residue Of Unforgiveness Stage Play which was acclaimed by multiple news sources. In October 2023 Jayden was the star of LV Magazine Teen Edition; as well as being featured on the front cover. In April 2024 Jayden will be inaugurated into the Disney Dreamers Academy Class of 2024, a program that was originally sponsored by Steve Harvey & Essence Magazine. Later in 2024 Minister Jayden will be presenting content in the YouVersion Bible App. Now, Jayden's focus is growing his non-profit organization, Higher Is Waiting, and ministering to our broken world one step at a time. Jayden's guiding bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (NIV).
