Poetry is not measured by quantity, nor is it weighed by a pound. Rather, it is one of the most subtle arts, and the most inaccessible to its seekers. Not everything whose interactions are correct is poetry, and not everything that contains a frame is art. The distinguished poet Ali Al-Jarim says in his introduction to his collection: This is the second part of my poetry. I place it in the hands of every writer, spread its pages in front of every poet, and send its shouts into the skies of Egypt and throughout Arabism. Poetry whose weights were from the beats of my heart, and whose seas were from the drops of my tears. I chanted. With it, it was an echo of my soul and a beat for my soul, and then I dedicated it to Egypt and the sons of Egypt, and in it I praised the East and the sons of the East, and I praised heroism and heroes, and I motivated the Arab youth with it to be proud of their people and to sing of eternal honor and ancient glory. Nasr's classical poetry supported it, preserved its preamble and its elegance, and wrote an example for young people that contained the nobility of the ancient and the novelty of the modern. He demonstrated that Arabic can speak about everything without being affected by any of the ills of foreign language.
