Autorenporträt
Originally from Carmarthen, Iona Towler-Evans was a successful Head of English and Drama for several years, is currently a freelance teacher and consultant in education. She is one of a small group of national trainers for the student-centred Mantle of the Expert teaching and learning system, and contributes to teaching at Newman University in Birmingham. She is on the National Working Group for Mantle of the Expert and contributes regularly to conferences on creativity, teaching and learning. She has been a Consultant to the Choice Project at Swansea University since 2010, and regularly teaches at Secondary schools. She has written materials for teachers and schools, is an executive of the NATD (National Association of Teachers of Drama) and is currently co-authoring a book, Imagining to Learn with Professor Brian Edmiston of Ohio State University. She runs a network of teachers, students, headteachers and artists at Newman University College based on innovative learning.
