Autorenporträt
Joni Brown is the youngest of three sisters and grew up in Eagan, Minnesota, a suburb twenty minutes south of the Twin Cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul. Her parents divorced before she turned three. As a child, Joni had great memories of her father, Larry, who often took her and her two sisters camping to various Minnesota state parks. Joni also enjoyed when her mother, Marge, took them to visit the family farm in Pine Creek, Wisconsin. It was there that Joni learned the old-fashioned values of hard work paying off, including processing beef and deer with her uncle, Larky Losinski, and harvesting apples and hickory nuts. She admired the strong academic traits of her grandmother, Gladys Schank, and her great-aunt, Helen Losinski, both schoolteachers, and her great-aunt Blanche Losinski, who was a school principal and advocated for children with learning disabilities. Joni graduated from Saint Cloud State University (SCSU). During her time at SCSU, Joni and Eric met and married in 1999. They started a family in 2003 , and currently reside in Colorado. This is Joni's first book. Visit Joni-Brown.com.
