Eilis Ni Dhuibhne is one of Ireland's foremost writers. in both the Irish and English languages. She is a novelist, a short story writer and a dramatist. Her work in English The Dancers Dancing was shortlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction. Two previous Irish-language novels, Hurlamboc and Dún an Airgid were shortlisted for Irish language Book of the Year Award, the former of these winning an IBBY Award in 2007.
