The author, who grew up in the wooded regions of northern Alabama, has been a frequent visitor of the New River region. Over many years, he photographed the river and its seasons. Imagining a some-when, he also draws upon his teaching/research on Eastern Woodland Cosmology and his own symbolic experiences.
