Jonathan Harker, a newly qualified English solicitor, takes a business trip to stay at the castle of a Transylvanian nobleman, Count Dracula in the Carpathian Mountains to help the Count purchase a house near London. Harker escapes the castle after discovering that Dracula is a vampire, and the Count moves to England and plagues the seaside town of Whitby. Abraham "Bram" Stoker was an Irish author, best known today for his Gothic novel Dracula. During his lifetime, he was better known as the personal assistant of actor Sir Henry Irving and business manager of the Lyceum Theatre in London. Abraham 'Bram' Stoker war ein irischer Schriftsteller, der heute immer noch wegen seines Vampir-Romans Dracula bekannt ist. Zu seinen Lebzeiten war er dagegen als persönlicher Assistent des Schauspielers Sir Henry Irving bekannt, dem Geschäftsführer des Lyceum Theatre in London.
