Autorenporträt

DIANNE AIGAKI is an explorer, fine artist, and nonprofit consultant. She has a home in Dharamsala, India and has worked as a volunteer consultant for the Tibetan Exile Government and numerous other organizations worldwide training staff to write project plans and funding proposals. In addition, she is a landscape painter and scientific botanical illustrator; her specialty is wildflowers growing on the Tibetan Plateau at 11,000-18,000 feet altitude. A dynamic speaker, she is a member of the Society of Women Geographer¿s (the premier women¿s exploration association) and carried the Wings WorldQuest flag into Tibet in 2007. Since 2004, she has led an eco-tourism project with Tibetan villagers and nomads in Kham, Eastern Tibet. This project supports children going to school, political prisoners and their families, medical care for frail, elderly Tibetans and Gedun Choeling Nunnery.
