A graduate of West Georgia University, with a degree in history and a minor in journalism, her interest and her residence in North Georgia, rife with Civil War battlefields, lend vital credence to the tales she spins. From her heart she creates characters that live and breathe who face and overcome barriers that would destroy their happiness. One of her previous endeavors is series, Sweetwater Legacy, set in the environs of Cobb and Douglas Counties, in Georgia at the Sweetwater Creek site of the New Manchester Mills. Beginning in the year just prior to the presidential election of 1860, the three novels proceed through the war years and shortly beyond with the second book concluding with Sherman's orders to arrest and transport women and children from their homes at the mill north to Indiana.
