A true fictionalized saga from the minds of Aversa and Salminen
What kids aren't fascinated by adventuring in the local garbage dump, this one happened to be in Bergen County, New Jersey. One particular day at the dump is the beginning of what will become a lifelong adventure when the boys, Mudd and Rick, inadvertently are witnesses to what appears to be a gangland murder at the dump site back in 1951. Would this change their lives forever...
Rick, known to his friends as Mother, brings Mudd back into his musical world to work on the score for a movie. The boys had taken off running as life took them into the world of a Rock 'n' Roll but fame and fortune was out of reach. It was through this reunion that pieces rapidly begin to unfold with quiet infiltration from the mob, FBI involvement, and even administrative staff collusion, at Chateau 54.
Stories and memories flash through the mirror that Mudd carries with him. The valuable LaMar diamond was in the possession of the man supposedly murdered that day decades ago at the dump, will it be found? Did he commit the jewel heist? Was he really murdered? Why does the implication continue that Mother and Mudd know more than they are telling? And will the two finally have true success in the music scene of today through the score they are writing for the upcoming recording sessions? Will the movie actually happen?
Although Mudd and Mother's lives took many twists and turns over the decades, their childhood bond was never completely broken. They come back together as retired gentleman, and the unfinished story of that day at the dump comes back in full force.
