Autorenporträt
Varsha Bhagat-Ganguly is Professor at Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, India. She has been Professor at Centre for Rural Studies, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, and Fellow at Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. She has worked in the education and development sector as a development sociologist and has conducted research studies on various social and developmental issues. She focuses on linking field-based and academic research with its versatile applications, including ground-up public policy regime, strategic action plan for social change, and raising awareness and communication. Among her publications are 15 books and 22 research articles/book chapters. She has been an editor of three academic journals. Her areas of interest are research for development, land question, citizen's rights and collective actions, process of marginalisation and Gujarat.
