Autorenporträt
I was born in the south side of Chicago as Pierre Denzel Bowdry. I grew up in South Minneapolis, graduated from South Senior High, and studied abroad in Herford, Germany winning a CBYX for YFU(2012-2013), having an amazing host family and to learn about German language and culture. Life has been an unexpected journey since coming back to the states, having two beautiful daughters on 9/22/16 and 12/02/17. Experiencing the tragedies loss of children through adoption and death. I begin living in homelessness, addiction, and crime. In and out of incarceration until landing in a cell away from home in another state. Sobering up forced thoughts of my past and trauma. Eventually rediscovered goals. Writing helped find purpose and as an inmate was able to earn a certificate in Creative Writing.
