Rain was raised at the end of a gravel road on the edge of the Columbia river gorge. Got a rifle at the age of twelve to take with her as she watched over their sheep in back pastures. She started writing short stories and telling extended tales to her cousin way before entering college as an education major.
All of Rain's stories have deep themes of the Hero's journey set along the Oregon Trail, Portland back streets, John Day hills, Arizona deserts, canyons, and older urban barrios. Forty years in the Oregon coastal mountains and desert back country has sharpened her perspective on life, love and courage.
Several typewriters, boxes of manuscripts and rejection letters later, self-publishing arrived. She currently, has 30+ novels and novella in print.
