Critics subjected Allan Poe's works to careful analysis and research, and they disagreed about him. Some found him to be a genius, and some criticized him for the ambiguity in his poetry, for lacking ideas, and for the music of the word to prevail over the meaning. Some of them criticized Fussa, as they found its style artificial, its dialogue boring, far from the language people speak, and its events dominated by melodramatic form. They found that he resorted most of the time to description and narration, and that he only understood people who were sick and abnormal, and that is why his topics were limited, with no diversity. Despite what he was criticized for, Poe had few peers in his time, and was one of the most original writers, excellent in talent, multi-faceted, and of great influence.
