Master's Thesis from the year 2022 in the subject Health Sciences - Health Psychology, , language: English, abstract: The objective of the study is to assess the existing level of stress among nursing students before calisthenics exercises intervention by computing pre-test, to evaluate the post-test level of stress among nursing students after calisthenic exercises intervention, to determine the effectiveness of calisthenic exercises on stress among nursing students and to find out the association between post level of stress in nursing students with their selected demographic variables. The mean post stress scores of students will be significantly lower than the pre-test stress scores by paired t-test at 0.01. There will be significant association between the post-test levels of stress among nursing students with their selected demographic variables by chi-square test (x2) at 0.01 level of significance A quasi study was conducted and first year BSc nursing students studying in a college were selected as sample. The sample size was 60 and Non-purposive sampling technique was used perceived stress scale was used to assess levels of stress before and after administration of calisthenics consistency of tool was tested by Bach’s alpha1-36 for low stress 37-72 for moderate stress 73-108 for high levels of stress respectively. According to the World's Health Organisation sickness caused by stress by 2020 will rank among top causes of disability. Today's students' academic achievement and mental wellness are usually negatively impacted by the intense environment that characterises nursing schools. Research from the UK and India indicate that stress levels are rising among nursing students. Researchers from Brazil looked at depression and confidence among pupils in first-, second-, especially 3rd year students of nursing graduates.
