EHAD with GOD is a biblical methodology for healing from traumatic events and spiritual oppression. It forms a healing alliance with God to bind up the brokenhearted, liberate the captives, and release the prisoners bound in spiritual darkness (Isaiah 61:1). Christ said, "I have come that you may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10). The reality in the Church, however, is different-it is full of broken people, lacking abundance in life. The usual culprit is unresolved issues with anger, hatred, resentment, and unforgiveness harbored toward "those who trespassed against us" (Matthew 6:12). These are practices of the flesh that constitute a "foothold" (Ephesians 4:27) for Satan to steal, kill, and destroy. They are strongholds of darkness that serve as open doors, giving legal permission to the enemy to oppress, deceive, and harass. It is a spiritual captivity, causing a serious impediment to spiritual growth. EHAD with GOD approach identifies these areas of spiritual oppression and guides the believers to redeem them through the cross, cutting off the enemy's access to their lives. For this reason, EHAD with GOD is structured as a one-on-one biblical prayer counseling guide that can be used in the privacy of a believer's home. It incorporates the spiritual tools and spiritual disciplines commonly utilized in Christian counseling and pastoral care practices. The Holy Sacraments of the Church of prayer, confession, repentance, and forgiveness are the bedrock on which this approach is built. EHAD is a Hebrew word (¿¿¿) and stands for being ONE with God. It reflects the sole purpose of the biblical narrative to encounter God and know Him personally, evoke a deep love toward Him, and, ultimately, become united with Him for Eternity (John 14:20; 17:23). Trauma may vary in the circumstances it occurred, from early childhood trauma, physical, sexual, or mental abuse, war veteran, loss of a loved one, drug and alcohol addictions, victims of violence, crime, human trafficking, natural disaster, etc. Despite the different nature of these experineces, the healing from trauma follows the same road of divine healing. This is the road after which EHAD with GOD was designed. EHAD with GOD adopts the term TRAUMA as an umbrella for all human experiences that thwart the believer from living life with Jesus to the fullest. From a spiritual perspective, the most minor and the most grievous traumatic events equally cause spiritual stagnation. In this book, the term TRAUMA refers to all traumatic human experiences, regardless of their scope, spectrum, or intensity. EHAD with GOD guides believers to identify issues that prevent them from becoming ONE with Christ. Maturity in the faith requires purification and sanctification, leading to transformation in the image of Christ and freedom from spiritual oppression. The transition is marked by a change in the power that has dominion over the believer's life from "living in the flesh" to "living in the Spirit" (Romans 8:12-13). Freedom and healing from past wounds are side effects of a sanctified life.
