Are you looking for a good story to read and not only for a book written in easy Spanish? Probably you will like El Planeta del Desierto Amarillo then. This Spanish book is the first volume of a series called El Universo de los Hanún-Ais. This series is composed of three original fantasy books graded in three levels: A2-B1(Introductory), B1-B2 (Intermediate) and B2-C1 (Advanced). Even though the three novels are placed in the same universe and are connected among them, every book is auto-conclusive, so you do not need to read the other two to understand the story. The Grammar topics have been introduced gradually from easier (A2) to more difficult (B1) in the text of the story itself. You will find a complete and, above all, practical explanation of the grammatical topics. But, since the emphasis is on reading and enjoying, these explanations are at the end of the book so you can either read and study them or overlook them. That is up to you.

You will also find exercises of Comprehension and Composition, the introduction of different Vocabulary in every chapter, and a basic review of the Grammar of A1 level. Footnotes have been designed to make your reading easier so you do not have to stop every minute when a complicated word comes up.

These graded books have been written by J.M. Hernández, a native and experienced Spanish teacher who has a degree in Spanish linguistics and more than 10 years of teaching experience. His approach is creating language books with good and clear writing, and careful explanation of the grammar and vocabulary, but, above all, with relevant and enjoyable content. He is passionate about fantasy stories and writers like J.R.R. Tolkien and Michael Ende among many others. He also loves helping students to grasp the details of his language. In this book you will meet Bayuná, a man who has lived his whole life in peace on El Planeta del Desierto Amarillo (The Planet of the Yellow Desert). His life and the life of his family and neighbours have always been happy and peaceful, almost idyllic. But suddenly a group of cruel enemies is invading his world and threatening the lives of the people who he loves. Manajaín-Ja is an Hanún-Ai (the Guardian and protector of the planet), but he cannot help the inhabitants of El Planeta del Desierto amarillo this time. What can Bayuná and his neighbours do? They do not know how to fight in a war… You can read the story in the first volume of this series.
