Autorenporträt
Sefik Daupovic Fiko was born in Sarajevo. He is a graduate of the Sarajevo University Faculty of Pedagogy the Language and Literature Department.
He has published books of poetry including Vecer na veceru pada (Nightfall at Dinner Table), Nobel nije kod kuce (Nobel is not at Home) and Vjetar prodaje novine (Wind is Selling Newspapers, a children's book), a book of short stories Price sa Slonovog Jezera (Stories from Elephant Lake) and the picture book Mali Ekser (The Little Nail).
He is the recipient of various awards for literature, and is present in various anthologies and selections, as well as primary school text books. His works have been translated into several languages.
Daupovic's poems and stories have been published in renowned magazines for culture,
literature and art in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in the region.
Apart from poetry and short stories, he also writes dramas, children's plays, humorous contemporary works and aphorisms.
He is a member of the Writers Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and currently lives and works in Sarajevo.
