Autorenporträt
Bruce Portmann is a twenty plus year veteran of the record industry, working his way up from a clerk in a single retail location, to become International Marketing & Promotion Director for Capital Records and subsidiary labels EMI America and United Artist Records. The list of artist he promoted and sometimes befriended includes but is not limited to Bob Seger, Helen Reddy, Steve Miller, Anne Murray, Pink Floyd, John Lennon, Grand Funk Railroad and Paul McCartney.

The energy that Bruce experienced upon seeing Elvis Presley at a live show was enough to make a lasting impression on him. Recognizing for himself the greatness of the "King of Rock n' Roll", he became one more of the millions of Elvis fans. It's because of his love for Elvis, the artist, that he has pulled from his well founded background in the record industry and written Elvis Presley: My Second Chance, as a tribute to Elvis's memory.
