If we try and disassociate ourselves from our pain we will lose sight of the real battle displaying through our present-day behaviors. Growing-up home was chaotic and consisted of violent fights and outbursts of anger with passionate make-ups. It became normal to me. "Break-up to make-up that's all we do, first you love me than you hate me that's the game for two." Are these merely words to a song or something deeper?
I wanted something healthy, but was drawn to what was familiar to me. My pain was deep inside and no one could heal what was hurting me, but God.
