I am a wife and mother of six, aspiring to become an accomplished author and poet. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, by my single mother along with my two younger siblings. I obtained a high school diploma, and my creative writing interest sparked. Poetry and storytelling have always been a passion of mine. I found that expressing my feelings on paper was much easier than expressing them verbally, and I used it to cope with the pain and disappointment I experienced throughout life. This short book of poems is full of emotions, both good and bad, and I'm hoping to inspire someone who may be able to relate to these thoughts and feelings and influence others to use writing as an outlet. Life will throw you curve balls and send you on many emotional rollercoasters. Like music, poetry is an art and can be therapeutic, it can get you through some hard times. To my readers, I hope that you digest my art with an open mind and heart.
