Throughout human history, humans have lived through a large number of empires, and some of them were exceedingly evil.
It is a tragedy that this terrible rule by powerful empires, now known as superpowers, is continuing to the present day.
Some civilizations in certain regions of the world are particularly violent, vicious and cruel.
The Maya, Aztec, and Inca civilizations that thrived in central and southern America before and around the 15th century practised terrible systems of ritual human sacrifice. They were evil empires.
While the idea of empires ruled by emperors has become obsolete in the modern world, there are still too many nations that aspire to be effectively empires to rule the world through economic, political, and military domination.
These are in the new class of modern empires that are now known as superpowers.
They are superpowers basically because of their economic and military might.
Indeed, these superpowers have pursued a path of maximum militarization as a national policy. They build mighty army, navy, air force, and a whole formidable array of lethal weapons, so as to intimidate and defeat opponents and dominate the world. They justify all this buildup of military strength by couching it under the undeniable concept of national security and their unassailable and even sacred national interest.
The most dangerous issue in this day and age is of course the escalating toxic and dangerous superpower rivalry between USA and China.
The world will never be safe from a devastating nuclear WW3 if this toxic superpower rivalry is allowed to continue.
It truly is humanity's duty to stop this insanity.
