In the process, while some airlines are having huge success other airlines are failing to take advantage of the competition; there is a dearth in understanding the factors that affect employee performance in aviation sector. This research seeks to bridge the gap; as there is a shortage of research from the Indian context. Therefore, the study of employee performance appraisal in aviation services has become an important research topic, especially in value-added airlines and business presses. Rapid changes are taking place in the aviation sector, especially, in the airlines, and the opening up of liberalization and the economy have intensified competition. Every player wants a large market share. It takes some time to integrate and understand from an employee’s perspective; to ensure that they are productive and enhance their future potential as they progress in their careers, especially in airline services when gaining consistent competitive advantage. Knowledge in this area can help HR managers to understand issues such as employee engagement, training development, personal characteristics, performance factors and factors affecting employee performance. The researcher chose a qualitative research method to get better understanding of the phenomenon. It covers a wide range of commentary approaches in qualitatively understanding, the meaning of different experiences, as well as in areas such as decoding, commentary and translation.
