I have a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, lA, a M.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Southern CA., and a doctorate from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. I worked for thirty-three years in the public schools-working in Iowa, Illinois, California, the Republic of China (Taipei, Taiwan) , and Texas. My current educational interest is in the transition process of young adults with intellectual challenges, high functioning autism, and Asperger's into the work world, what avenues can be followed to make this smoother for them, and the better understanding of parents, students, and employers of this very important progress.
