Most of these countries are democratic and share many common interests. Politically these countries have good relations and they have formed a powerful regional group called Association of Southeast Asian Countries or ASEAN, The present encyclopedia traces the history Politics, Economy, Power and some other characteristics of these countries in also traces some of their common goals and their interdependency on each other. Dr. Shiv Shankar Tiwary obtained his M.A., M. Phil. and Ph. D. degree from University of Delhi. He is an academic and scholar in this own right and a prolific writer having knowledge and interest of various disciplines. He worked for different renowned publishing houses on various capacity and at present he is working as an editor with a reputed and renowned publishing house. Besides this he is also author of Encyclopaedia of Southeast Asian Dynasties, Encyclopaedia of Southeast Asia and its Tribes. P.S. Choudhary, obtained his M.A. and PH.D Degree from Ranchi university and is presently teaching in Delhi University. He had presented articles in National and International journals and attended Indian History Congress several times. He is recipient of International Award for Young People awarded by International Award Association (Duke of Edenburgh, London). He is also author of Encyclopedia of Research Methodology in Social Sciences and Humanities.
