Autorenporträt
Dan Yarmey is a University Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychology at the University of Guelph. He was born in Toronto, Ontario Canada and attended Waterloo College and the University of Western Ontario graduating with a BA in honors Psychology. He then completed his MA and Ph.D. in experimental psychology at Western. He has taught at Wilfrid Laurier University, the University of Tennessee, the University of Guelph, and the University of Guelph-Humber. Most of his research focuses on issues related to psychology and the law, especially on the psychology of eyewitness testimony and voice identification. This book is his first contribution to the literature on Applied Sport Psychology. Sport has been a life-long passion as an athlete, coach, consultant, teacher, and fan. He has coached youth sport in football, soccer, and hockey, and most recently, high school football. In addition to teaching a course on sport psychology, he has been a sport consultant for the University of Guelph's football team and men's and women's basketball teams, and women's basketball at Wilfrid Laurier University.
