Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Informatik - Internet, neue Technologien, Note: 2,0, Fachhochschule Heidelberg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Through a series of federal and state laws and standards, the legal foundation concerning Web accessibility that impact people with disabilities and their ability to fully overcome digital barriers and participate in the Web environment has been established. Currently, the concept of accessible design or universal design is increasingly becoming an important component of Web design. The available work shows how a website can be used as an information platform in consideration (Legislation) for the Act on Equal Opportunities for Disabled. There are different ordinances using an open source web content management system such as BITV Barrier Free Information Technology. The question is how the content management system "TYPO3" can develop barrier free websites. Section two covers Barrier free Information-Technology and gives an overview of its introduction through legislation around the world. Section three gives an overview of the Content Management Systems that exist in the marketplace. Section four focuses on the features offered by TYPO which support Barrier free Information Technology Section five describes how the use of TYPO3 broadened the barrier free technology at Hör-Sprachzentrum.
