Sources of noise pollution, categorised as industrial and non-industrial, include road traffic, aircraft, railroads, construction, industry, consumer appliances and recreational activities. Both air and noise pollutions are held accountable for a number of severe health impacts such as irritation, burning sensation and allergy of eyes; blood pressure and blood sugar; chronic lung and heart diseases; increased level of lead and other toxic substances; increased level of stress and anxiety, irritability, headaches, loss of hearing, sleep disruption, impaired learning, diminished productivity and more.
