Autorenporträt
O. D. Perkins Jr. was born May 24, 1957. He grew up in the slums and ghettos of Chicago during the decade of the sixties. He witnessed the events of the Cold War and the Vietnam War. He experienced the Civil Rights Movement. He witnessed the assassination of President Kennedy. He witnessed the events surrounding the assassination of Malcom X, the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and the assassination of Robert Kennedy. He was there during the most tumultuous decade of violence and racism in America. With God as his inspiration, he was able to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Northern Illinois University in 1981.
