Autorenporträt


George Brimley (1819-1857) was an English writer. After attending Trinity College, Cambridge, he became the college librarian. Plagued by illness most his life, Brimley never was able to live up to his promisebut his articles prove him a talented critic.

William George Clark (18211878) was an English scholar of literature, especially Shakespearean works. Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, where he established The Cambridge Journal of Philology, he is best known as one of the editors of The Cambridge Shakespeare.
